Your taiga adventure.
It is not a secret that an average European or an inhabitant of any other continent thinks the civilization of Russia to be located within the Ural mountain range where “the foot of a man has never been stepped in” but “bears are walking across cities streets”.

As any other classical joke, this one has some grounds. Western Siberia today is one of the rarest places on the Earth which has kept picturesque remote natural isles side by side with the developed economical and historical urban centers. Having reached such places, one may find oneself in the surrounding of an ancient pagan world where a human being is an immanent part of nature and can breathe freely.
200-300 kilometers by jet are enough to reach the remotest depths of Siberian taiga which is extraordinary for its purest deep lakes which are so wide that stretch over the horizon, for its thickest venerable pines and fir trees which are the best place to be hidden for wild animals and for a human being to feel like a primeval hunter. Dense forests and impassable bogs separate and defend these unique nature places for hundreds km from the nearest cities.
Thus, it takes 800 km to the North-East from Yekaterinburg, which is the capital of the federal district, to reach these taiga landscapes, but it takes 150 km to reach the bank of the river Ob, which is considered to be one of the longest in Russia. A human being is a rare guest in these lands, but bears, elks, reindeer or foxes are frequently met here. Besides, in summer time these places are abounding in birds like black grouses, ducks, geese or swans.
